Saturday Feb 28th: Bear Swamp SF
February 25, 2010
It looks like there will be plenty of fresh snow for a ski tour at Bear Swamp this Saturday. Crazy weather lately. Depending on the number and desires of the attendees, we may break into two groups, slower and faster. That may be based on waxable and no-wax skis, we will see. I expect to be out at least four hours, there is at least that much skiing there. Those wanting to stay less or longer will have that option. Dining at the Colonial Lodge afterwards is a possibility.
Meet: 10:00 AM at parking lot at Bear Swamp Rd (near the end of Iowa Rd) or 9:15 AM at Dunkin Donuts in Dryden to carpool, Kristin Shafer who is co-leading will meet those in Dryden.
Those in the Triple Cities Hiking Club that are not going to the Adirondack weekend are welcome to join us. Snowshoing is ok, although it will be on your own,and please make sure you snowshoe away from the ski tracks. We will meet behind Denny’s on Upper Front Street Binghamton to carpool at 9:00 AM.
Think Snow,
Scott Lauffer
